Highsnobiety and RUF Automobile team up for new capsule collection – Sourcing Journal
It’s time to rev your engines for the latest Highsnobiety capsule collection.
Highsnobiety has teamed up with German automaker RUF Automobile to launch their latest “playful lifestyle” collection.
The collection features a selection of clothing and accessories, including a varsity jacket featuring the RUF and Highsnobiety logos, graphic tees, shorts, work trousers in a variety of colors including his signature green (used throughout the collection), black and natural, green and natural dungarees and caps emblazoned with the RUF and Highsnobiety logos.
The collection also includes automotive accessories, including a toy car, keychain, Yeti water bottle, mug, and mirror air freshener.
The Highsnobiety x RUF collection is available online at Highsnobiety Shop, with prices ranging from $5 to $7,785.
The most expensive item featured in the collection is the “exclusive” TAG Heuer Carrera x Bamford x RUF x Highsnobiety watch, limited to 100 pieces. The green and yellow watch comes with two custom straps: a green Saffiano Verde leather strap with yellow stitching and a green Correa Nato strap with the RUF logo and yellow stitching, according to Highsnobiety.
The watch also comes packaged in a “special box” of green frosted clear acrylic with a green leather insert and watch cushion, the Highsnobiety team added.
“The highlight of our partnership with German sports car manufacturer RUF is undoubtedly the TAG Heuer Carrera x Bamford x RUF x Highsnobiety watch in collaboration with Bamford,” said David Fischer, Founder and CEO of Highsnobiety. “A watchmaking icon and one of the most iconic watches in the history of motor racing, it couldn’t fit the project better.”
Highsnobiety isn’t the only brand working with automakers to reach new audiences. Re/Done partnered with Ford Motor Company earlier this summer on a collection that pays homage to an eco-meets-Americana ethos.
The Los Angeles-based company and the Detroit auto giant have teamed up for a fashion capsule celebrating the launch of the latter’s new F-150 Lightning electric truck. This eco-friendly upgrade to America’s best-selling truck can “power an entire house for three days if needed,” Ford says.
Highsnobiety’s RUF collaboration comes after Zalando acquired the blog-turned-ecommerce marketplace earlier this year.
“Our two companies share a passion for building strong brand partnerships and enabling brands to inspire audiences with their products and stories,” said David Schneider, Founder and Co-CEO of German Digital Fashion Marketplace. , at the time of acquisition.
“I’m excited to bring our capabilities to Zalando’s commitment to inspiring fashion and reimagining the future of content and commerce together,” Fischer added.
