Undertaken under the supervision of the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), the test – involving a freeway test of a total distance of 263.3 kilometers from Clark to the TPLEX Rosario exit and back – proved that the Chevy Trailblazer and Tracker 2022 are fuel efficient vehicles.

The models had similar parameters to simulate realistic driving conditions: two drivers per vehicle, with no heavy luggage; tires set to factory recommended pressure; and vehicle speed maintained at 80 to 90 kilometers per hour on the highway with observance of traffic rules and limits.

In addition to the striking exterior, generous space, creature comforts and cutting-edge technologies equipped in the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer, this compact SUV was also able to check off fuel efficiency in its winning list of features. after the Premier variant achieved an impressive 20.87 kpl in the Eco run with AAP.

Powered by a GM E-Turbo 1.3L DOHC turbocharged engine paired with a next-generation lightweight CVT with Multi-Mode Drive System, Engine Start/Stop System and Advanced Active Thermal Management, this compact SUV produces 155 hp and 236 Nm. Its systems work together to deliver efficient fuel consumption without compromising vehicle performance.

Efficient driving is even more enjoyable and safe thanks to the wide range of driver assistance systems that are standard on the Trailblazer, such as forward collision warning, following distance indicator, braking of automatic emergency, front pedestrian braking, six SRS airbags, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, lane keeping assist with lane departure warning, rear park assist and cross traffic alert rear – all are popular on Premier and LT variants.

Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Tracker Crossover SUV known for its practical features has achieved a remarkable fuel consumption of 25.05 kpl. Under the hood of the crossover is a 1.0-liter three-cylinder Ecotec turbocharged engine that delivers 116 hp and 175 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and an active thermal management system that intuitively optimizes engine performance and fuel efficiency. It is also equipped with enhanced stability control systems and safety technologies that are standard on LS and LT Redline models.
