Maruti Suzuki India set to launch second-generation Celerio hatchback on 10e November 2021 (i.e. right after Diwali). The model will feature a more angular design, a larger body and a premium interior. It will also be better in terms of power and performance. Suzuki’s 1.0L Dualjet engine features modified Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), a higher compression ratio, and two injectors placed closer to the intake valves. These technologies help to increase the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. The report further claims that the new Maruti Celerio 2021 with the Dualjet engine will offer the best fuel efficiency in its class of around 26 kmpl. Its big rivals – Tata Tiago AMT and Hyundai Grand i10 – deliver mileage of 23.84 kmpl and 18.9 kmpl respectively.

The 2021 Maruti Celerio model line will abandon the existing 1.2L gasoline engine that produces 69 hp. The sedan’s new 1.0L Dualjet engine will be available with 5-speed manual and AMT automatic transmissions. One of the major changes will be made to its base. The new Celerio will be designed on Suzuki’s Heartect platform which will make it lighter and stiffer than the current generation. The tailgate will get bigger; however, its dimension figures have not yet been revealed. Read – Suzuki to Unveil New Swift, WagonR, Vitara and Alto in 2022
